The Worship Committee continues to discern the best path forward for University Friends Meeting and in particular our time of worshiping together. We fully recognize and are trying to accept that life is not going to be the same as it was before COVID-19, and this includes developing new ways of being a church. As we navigate through these challenging times our church must continue to stay focused on:
· Who are we?
· Who are our neighbors?
· What is God calling us to do?
The Worship Committee has decided that through June we will continue to live stream our worship services. We are pleased to see so many of our own members participating in worship as well as many other people from other states. We also are pleasantly surprised by how connected we feel with one another through our virtual worship. We are asking that virtual church viewers share our worship time on their own Facebook page so we can reach even more people.
The health and safety of our church members guide these decisions. Our decisions are abundantly cautious since the majority of our people are classified as vulnerable and should not be in crowds at all.
Thank you for your prayers and support as we change, adapt, and develop a new way of being the church that God is calling us to be.
