A Note from LaVonna:
At least in part, the planning of these events was prompted by a post on Facebook by Colin Saxton, who will be the speaker at both University Friends’ all-church retreat the weekend of February 5-7 and at Great Plains Yearly Meeting 2021 sessions:
Most of you who are my Facebook friends spend every day proclaiming and demonstrating God’s peace, justice and grace in ordinary and extraordinary ways. Thank you. In large part this is all we can do and what we are called to do…every single day.
Given the reports of possible violence and overt confrontation around the US on January 20, I am wondering what we may each and all be called to do that day? How might those of us who follow the Prince of Peace be used as a sign and witness to a Kingdom that is not of this world?
