Good afternoon young Friends!

I hope you are all doing well. Today has been just a beautiful day. I hope you’ve been able to spend some time outside in the warm sunshine. Instead of a lesson today, I am going to give you a few challenges to do over this week. The next series of lessons will be about care of the Earth and the Quaker testimonies that align with it.

Sunday Challenge:

Read your memory verse and then write it on the sidewalk outside. (If you don’t have chalk that’s ok! Here is a link to a way to home some at home! https://www.happinessishomemade.net/sidewalk-chalk-paint/ )

Monday Challenge:

Go outside and find 5-10 DIFFERENT types of leaves, petals, bark, seeds, dirt, or some other nature element. Once you have found these items make a rub of them. (lay a piece of paper over the top and lightly rub a crayon over the object). Once you’ve made your rub, turn it into a card for Ms. Jennifer in the office!

Tuesday Challenge:

If it’s raining: color with washable marker on a paper. Then lay the paper out in the rain for 2-4 minutes. Observe the changes.

If it is clear outside, go outside and listen. What do you hear? Which of those things was made by God? Which of those things are man made?

Wednesday Challenge:

Make a wind sock! Then observe how and when it moves.

Thursday Challenge:

Write a poem.Go outside and observe nature. Then write about it! What is your favorite part about being outside today!.

Friday Challenge:

Pick up trash. Take a walk, and pick up trash as you go. How can each of us picking up trash help our planet?

Saturday Challenge:

REST
